I am an Italian and naturalised British Speech and Language Therapist with nine years of clinical experience in London across NHS services, private practice, Autism Specialist Schools, and mainstream educational settings. I specialise in Autism, AAC, bilingual development, and complex communication needs, supporting children and young people from early years through Post‑16.
During my time in the UK, I worked extensively in Autism Specialist Schools, supporting students aged 3 to 19 with severe learning disabilities and diverse communication profiles. I delivered SCERTS‑based assessment and intervention, facilitated student voice, collaborated with teachers, clinical psychologists and occupational therapists, and led a whole‑school high‑tech AAC project, including staff and parent training, AAC groups, and 1:1 trials.
Since 2023, I have also carried out Autism assessments in both Italian and English, contributing to diagnostic pathways through ADOS‑2 assessments, school observations, diagnostic discussions, and post‑diagnostic support, including EarlyBird parent training. Alongside this, I supervised students, mentored junior colleagues, and participated in NHS Quality Improvement initiatives.
I have also been part of working groups focused on Autism and neurodiversity, with a strong emphasis on learning directly from the autistic community and integrating lived experience into clinical practice. This work has deeply shaped my approach, reinforcing a neurodiversity‑affirming, respectful, and collaborative way of supporting communication.
My academic work includes the 2025 publication of the Bilingual Assessment of Simple Sentences (BASS): Spanish Adaptation, developed with the University of Manchester:

For the past three years, I have also been a speaker at the annual conference “Logopedia Oltre i Confini” at the University of Milan, presenting alongside international colleagues on global professional pathways in Speech and Language Therapy.
After nine years in London, I recently returned to Italy, where I now work as part of a Bilingual Therapy Team supporting children and families in both clinic settings and international schools. This role allows me to combine my bilingual expertise with a global, culturally responsive approach to communication support.
I continue to invest in ongoing professional development, with training including Makaton (Levels 1–4), SCERTS, ADOS‑2, EarlyBird, SFBT, Attention Autism, COMFOR, AAC and ASD CENs, DTTC, and Nuffield (NDP3).
