I am a UK-trained Speech and Language Therapist with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Greenwich in London and extensive clinical experience across both the UK and Italy. I began my career within the UK National Health Service (NHS), working across mainstream and specialist schools as well as acute and rehabilitation hospital services, supporting adults with speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
Since returning to Italy in 2016, I have specialised in paediatrics. I initially worked within the Italian National Health Service (SSN) while developing my private practice and am proud to be one of the founding members of Bilingual Therapy. I provide assessment and therapy for children and families within the English-speaking and wider multilingual community, both in clinic and in school settings. Over the years, I have established strong collaborative relationships with several international schools in Milan and across northern Italy. I deliver teacher training and collaborate with universities to support young adults with specific learning needs.
My clinical interests include bilingual language development, early communication in infants and preschool children (Hanen More Than Words certified), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), and specific learning difficulties, with particular expertise in dyslexia assessment and intervention.
I work collaboratively with families and educators to help each child develop the communication skills needed to succeed academically and socially, with a strong focus on the unique needs of children growing up in multilingual and multicultural environments.
